Muurame
Muurame is a Finnish company, specialized in producing high quality, modular storage furniture systems. The timeless nature and long life cycle of the Muurame range is based on an aesthetic, high quality and sustainable collection that is versatile and can easily be supplemented. Ever since 1951, interior architect, Professor Pirkko Stenros has been in charge of the design. The range is continuously developed. The Muurame furniture are manufactured in Finland.
Piet Hein Eek
Piet Hein Eek is one of Holland’s most respected contemporary designers, known especially for his furniture made out of scrap wood and recycled materials. Eek is always aiming for maximal usage of the raw material. He concentrates on simple, easily attainable materials and a design and production method that shows the different stages in the creation process. Artek sells Piet Hein Eek’s furniture, lightings and ceramics.
String
The String shelving system was designed by Swedish architect and designer Nils Strinning in 1949. There are many reasons why String and String Plex have been popular for over 50 years. One is that they’re so practical. The structure is light weight, yet stable. The side panels are simple to mount and the shelves are easy to move around. You can combine shelves of different depths in the same unit and the frame functions as a book-end. String and String Plex are equally suited to a large or small wall.
Vitra
Vitra has manufactured furniture designs by Charles & Ray Eames and George Nelson since 1957. Building on this foundation over the years, the company has developed a wide range of furnishings for the office, for the home and for public spaces in collaboration with progressive designers. Woodnotes
Woodnotes is a Finnish design company founded in 1987. The Woodnotes products, designed by Ritva Puotila, take their inspiration from Finland’s rugged nature. The products are made using advanced technologies as well as Finnish raw materials: wood and paper. Woodnotes became known especially for their creative use of the allergy friendly paper yarn in carpets and blinds. The Woodnotes collection has expanded over the years from the paper yarn carpets to a comprehensive concept. It is augmented every year with new and innovative products.
