Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec

Ronan (born 1971) and Erwan (born 1976)  Bouroullec are brothers and designers based in Paris. Having worked together for about fifteen years, their collaboration is a permanent dialogue nourished by their distinct personalities and a shared notion of diligence with the intention to reach more balance and fineness.
The Bouroullec brothers have collaborated with leading companies in the design field such as Artek, Alessi, Capellini, Flos, Hay, Magis, and Vitra, and won numerous awards.
Designs by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec are part of select international museums’ permanent collections such as the Musée National d’Art Moderne – Centre Pompidou and the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Art Institute of Chicago and the Design Museum in London.
Several monographic exhibitions have been devoted to their work, such as «Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec» at the Design Museum, London (2002) and Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles (2004), «Album» at the Vitra Design Museum (2012) and «Bivouac» at the Centre Pompidou Metz (2011).
The comprehensive monograph «Works» was released in 2012 by Phaidon Press. In 2013, under the art direction of Cornel Windlin, JRP Ringier published a 864-page paperback book called «Drawing» that collects more than 850 drawings that Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec made between 2005 and 2012.
Kaari (2015) is the result of the first collaboration between Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec and Artek. Based on a simple, yet intelligent component, the Kaari Collection comprises rectangular and round tables in two sizes as well as a desk, a wall console, a small round shelf and larger shelves.
