Artek Pop Up with Rooming comes to Korea

Artek's first ever store in Korea is running 11–26 October 2025

Artek is opening its first ever pop-up store in Korea.

Artek Pop Up with Rooming runs from 11–26 October, offering Korean design enthusiasts a rare opportunity to experience exclusive Artek products in person, including collaborative collections with fellow Finnish brands Marimekko and Moomin, released to mark Artek’s 90th anniversary.

The pop-up store takes place in two adjoining locations in Seoul: Mahkjip, a cultural space created by renowned Korean architect Byoungsoo Cho in a traditional hanok, and at OYK Studio, a modern installation space next door. The event is organised in partnership with Rooming, Artek’s long-time local dealer.

It provides an opportunity for fans to buy Artek’s most iconic pieces, as well as products not usually available in Korea. In addition to the Moomin and Marimekko collections, the store also presents the first opportunity to see Gems from the Archive, a reintroduction of some much-loved Aalto pieces, as well as the Artek 90 Anniversary poster, created by Finnish contemporary artist Inka Bell.

Stool 60 Workshop on 15 October

The store will host a workshop in which visitors will get the chance to make their very own Stool 60. Attendees will be able to create an exclusive version of the stool with assistance from Artek experts. The workshop takes place 3pm Korean time on 15 October 2025 at Mahkjip. Contact Rooming via direct message on at Instagram @rooming_official to register your interest. Act fast! Capacity is very limited.
