Since 2024, Artek and Paul Smith have collaborated on a series of reimagined Aalto design classics, united by a shared commitment to human-centric design, exceptional craftsmanship and innovation.

A long-time admirer of Aino and Alvar Aalto's work, Sir Paul Smith continues to reimagine their design classics through his own lens. Following the success of the first two editions, the third release builds on the playful use of wood stains and contrasting colours. As before, the stool's seat top is finished in a natural wood stain, concealing a coloured underside that is revealed only when the stool is flipped over. This time, it appears in Malachite Green.

The legs are painted in Lemon Yellow, Burgundy and Melrose Pink — colours drawn from Paul Smith's Signature Stripe. Restocked on all three editions, the stools are designed to stack together, with their differently coloured legs creating an echo of Paul Smith’s iconic Signature Stripe.
