Buy Table 90D Seireeni

Table 90D Seireeni brings together Alvar Aalto’s concept of versatile birch furniture and Marimekko’s bold and joyful essence. Inspired by the movement of water, the Seireeni pattern was created by Maija Isola in 1964 during her travels in Greece and named after the mythical sirens of the sea. The table’s round, low form makes it suitable for a variety of settings — by the sofa, bedside, or as a coffee table. The Seireeni pattern is presented using marquetry on the table’s birch veneer top.

Maija Isola's joyful Seireeni pattern meets the purity of Alvar Aalto's design

Contrasting wood grains create a shimmering effect, and the pattern is brought to life through the interaction between light, pattern and wood. Part of the Artek + Marimekko collection, this table is made from responsibly sourced Finnish birch at Artek’s factory in south-western Finland.
