"Cambio – on Finnish Forestry” at Designmuseo Helsinki

"Cambio – on Finnish Forestry” at Designmuseo Helsinki

In 2020, Formafantasma set up Cambio, an ongoing investigation into the extraction, production and distribution of wood products. Cambio manifests itself in a travelling exhibition – previously shown in the UK, Italy and Switzerland – as well as a continuously growing digital archive of documents, videos, books and articles on the topic. To find out more visit cambio.website.

In collaboration with Artek, Formafantasma are now examining the changing conditions of Finnish forests in the light of industrialisation and climate change, resulting in the Cambio – on Finnish Forestry exhibition. This will explore how the extraction and use of timber have evolved over time, and how the pulp and paper industry has contributed to the design and management of forests and plantations in Finland. The exhibition runs from 10 June – 28 August 2022 at Designmuseo Helsinki.
