The Camper pavilion, Alicante Spain

Year: 2011

Japanese architect Shigeru Ban has designed  a pavilion for the Spanish shoe company Camper, as part of the Volvo Ocean race.

Built of paper tubes, the space is designed for easy assembly and transport to different ports on the race schedule.
The pavilion features 10-Unit System, that Ban designed for Artek, now in red.

The Camper pavilion will be travelling from Alicante to Sanya, Miami and Lorient.
Ban is also working on the Camper shop opening on New York's Prince Street. Coming soon!
