Artek participates in the Habitare fair in Helsinki in two fabulous stands. Debuted at the Milan Furniture Fair, Ilmari Tapiovaara’s cheerfully light Lukki, the metal-frame furniture by Alvar and Aino Aalto, and Tapio Wirkkala’s iconic TW003 pendant are now launched on the Finnish market along with familiar design classics. The relaunch of design icons that have proved to be successful through the decades is a powerful message from Artek on the importance of genuine and sustainable design.
Throughout the year, Artek’s Stool 60 has celebrated its 80th anniversary across the world. All the anniversary special editions are now gathered in one place for the Habitare visitors to admire. Stools with beloved Moomin characters by Tove Jansson are also introduced to the public alongside Artek classics.
Artek’s new abc Collection of small products is presented for the first time in its entirety at its very own elegant stand. The abc Collection comprises items that integrate naturally into the rest of Artek’s product range. The name of the series is a reference to the basic elements of everyday life. The collection includes established classics, such as the Siena and H55 print patterns on new products as well as a new stationery collection.
From Friday 2pm through to Sunday evening, when the fair is open to the public, products can be purchased directly at Artek’s both stands.
